About Me
My name is Angelina Shen, though I also go by my nickname, Angie, and this website serves as a personal and professional space to introduce who I am, document my academic and career development, and showcase my growing interests within the field of supply chain management.
I am currently a second-semester sophomore attending Rutgers University on the New Brunswick campus, where I am pursuing a bachelor’s degree in supply chain management in the business school. While this is my primary academic focus, I am also exploring the possibility of adding a concentration in either real estate or management information systems in order to further specialize my skill set and better align my coursework with my professional goals.Â
To begin my transition into the professional field, I hope to gain hands-on experience within the supply chain industry, ideally in procurement or sourcing roles connected to the fashion or cosmetics industries, as these areas strongly align with my personal passions and creative interests. However, I am not limited to these fields and am open to gaining practical experience in any industry on the supply chain side. Although my direct experience in supply chain management is still developing, I have begun building a foundational understanding of operational processes through past work experiences.
Â
In 2024, I interned at the World Chess Hall of Fame, where I gained exposure to behind-the-scenes operations such as inventory coordination, organizational logistics, and the sourcing of museum memorabilia. This experience helped me understand how supply chain principles apply across diverse industries and reinforced my interest in operational problem-solving. Hopefully, I can use this platform as a way to present my background, experiences, and aspirations in a way that reflects both my academic progress and my personal interests, while also serving as a platform to track my growth over time.
